Prague s position at the crossroads of Europe has made it a magnet for foreign traders since pre-recorded times. By the early 10th century it had developed into a thriving town with a large market place - Old Town Square and two citadels Prague Castle and Vysehrad, from where its first rulers, the Premyslids, conducted their many family feuds. There were often bloody in 935, Prince Wenceslas was savagely murdered by his brother Boleslav. Wenceslas was later canonized and became Bohemia s best-know patron saint....
